Bald Eagle Days
Bald Eagle Days, a free public event sponsored by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Gavins Point has been rescheduled to Friday, February 17 through Sunday, February 19.
Take this opportunity to see and enjoy beautiful bald eagles perching in nearby trees. There will also be hands –on activities to participate in, along with watching programs with live raptors, including a Bald Eagle, presented by SOAR Raptors of Dedham, Iowa.
The weekend will be filled with special displays, handouts and activities for the kids.
Friday: 4 and 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 and 11 a.m. & 1 and 3 p.m.
Sunday: 9 and 11 a.m. & 1 and 3 p.m.
Programs are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Seating is not guaranteed and reservations are not accepted.
Please arrive 45 minutes to 1 hour early as programs fill up fast.
Cabin Fever Games
Feeling the winter blues? Beat your cabin fever on February 18, 2017 with a full-day of outdoor adventure. The Cabin Fever Games is a winter festival held at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center. Teams of six (age 21 and older) will compete across five different games for the first ever Cabin Fever title. Compete for your community, employer, university, fraternity or other organization. Who will win bragging rights for the entire year?

Valentine's Night Out Fundraiser
Join the Gayville's Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department for the 12th annual fundraising event, Saturday, February 18th at the Gayville Community Center. Enjoy two acts this year, ventriloquist David Malmberg and magician Bill Ulin. Social hour starts at 5:00 pm with a chicken or roast beef dinner to follow. Live auction begins at 7:30 with shows before and after. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door and are available at Cortrust Bank, Valley Ag, or with any Gayville Firefighter.
Wine with Will
Join the South Dakota Shakepeare Festival on February 24th at the historic National Music Museum for an evening of hors d'oeuvres, wine tastings, a silent auction and plenty of merriment. All proceeds go to the South Dakota Shakespeare Festival and their upcoming production of The Comedy of Errors!

Vermillion's Polar Plunge
This family-friendly event will be hosted on Saturday, February 25 in downtown Vermillion. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to register and change for the Plunge! Get ready for a lots of laughs and a great time at the First Annual Dude Looks Like a Lady Beauty Contest on March 11th at Minerva's Bar & Grill.
Our Dudes will compete in the following categories: street wear, swimwear, evening gown, and talent! YOU the audience will decide who wins "Miss Anchoring to Hope 2017"!
"Miss Anchoring to Hope" will serve as the Foundation's ambassador appearing at events such as riding in a float at the 2017 Riverboat Days parade!

Abu Bekr Shrine N' Dales
Join the Abu Bekr Shriners for the 3rd Annual Abu Bekr Shrine N' Dales! This all male revue will have you laughing, smiling, and enjoying the night! This event is open to the public so be sure to bring all your girlfriends along too! Relay for Life of Yankton Area
Join and walk in the Relay for Life of Yankton County on June 23rd at Riverside Park.
This event will be kicked off by celebrating everyone who's been affected by cancer. Whether someone's been diagnosed for 10 days or been cancer-free for 10 years, they gather together for the crowd to cheer them on.
Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries. Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it's time to take action against cancer.
